Cancellation policy

1. Membership options
The Līla Code offers a Free Member level ($0) and the following paid support levels, if available for enrollment:
- Supporting Member: $2 per month or $24 per year.
- Patron: $12 per month or $144 per year.
Membership supports research, publishing, archives, and continued work. It is not an investment, does not grant equity, is not represented as a charitable tax-deductible donation, and does not transfer copyright or patent rights. Core Field Proof publications remain available on the terms stated for those works.
2. Clear consent and recurring charges
Only if a paid Membership is expressly offered as an automatically renewing subscription at checkout, the selected monthly or annual price is charged at the frequency and for the term displayed before purchase, and will renew unless canceled. Any applicable taxes, offers, introductory prices, renewal terms, and billing dates must be disclosed before the customer affirmatively consents to recurring billing. We do not enroll visitors in paid subscriptions merely because they sign up for free updates or visit the site.
3. How to cancel
A recurring Membership may be canceled through the subscription-management or cancellation link provided in the customer account, confirmation email, or billing portal where that feature has been enabled. Customers may also request cancellation at thelilacode@gmail.com. An online subscription must have an accessible online cancellation method that satisfies applicable law; the operator must verify that the enabled Shopify or subscription-app process supplies it before offering recurring plans.
Cancellation ends future renewals when processed. Membership access already paid for ordinarily continues through the current paid billing period unless the checkout terms or applicable law require otherwise. An email requesting help does not require the customer to accept a sales call, a replacement offer, or a further purchase.
4. Refunds and changes
Paid Membership fees for a billing period already started are not ordinarily refunded solely because the member decides not to continue, except where required by law or expressly promised at checkout. If a charge is unauthorized, incorrect, duplicative, or contrary to the accepted subscription terms, contact thelilacode@gmail.com for review and any refund due under law.
A material change in price, renewal conditions, or other subscription terms will be disclosed in advance as required by applicable law; applicable notices and cancellation rights remain available. The current terms for the selected plan are displayed at checkout and in the subscription acknowledgment.
5. Annual plans and notices
Where an annual plan automatically renews, required renewal and other statutory notices will be provided in accordance with the subscriber's location and the applicable renewal terms. Payment and cancellation disclosures must be provided in a form the member can retain.
6. Free Membership
Free Membership has no recurring charge. Unsubscribing from emails is distinct from canceling a paid plan; where applicable, customers should use the paid subscription cancellation process to stop renewal charges.
7. Physical artworks
One-time purchases of Collector Prints and Original Artworks are not subscription purchases. They are governed by the Return and Refund Policy and Shipping Policy, not this cancellation policy.
